Unique and Beautiful - a Valentine Card to Keep

These lovely cards have been hand crafted in coloured Lokta paper which is a medium weight, textured paper with a soft handle.The pale pink heart is cut-out from silk rag paper and the smaller hearts are made from silk paper made using hand-dyed silk fibres and CMC paste. The pink card has layers of different sized hearts. The hand-dyed skeleton leaves have been placed carefully to emulate the shape of a heart and the hand-made silk paper heart on top has been machine stitched with gold thread.

The red card, pictured to the left, also has layers of heart shapes. The final heart has been randomly stitched with pink thread.

Experiment with different papers and textures to create a truly unique card for your valentine.
