The natural Merino wool top is best for feltmakers and while the coarser fibres take more effort to felt, they are slightly more easy to spin. Choose from the lofty Bluefaced Leicester or the crinkly Suffolk. The long staple fibres such as Teeswater and Devon Longwool are best worked with a felting needle
