Dyeing >> Acid Dyes
Acid dyes are best used for painting or dyeing silk fabrics as well as dyeing protein fibres such as wool, camel, fur, cashmere and some synthetics such as nylon. The dyes are set using distilled vinegar in a hot dyebath or they can be set using the heat from steam. See also Discharge Acid Dyes for further techniques
