Fabrics include finely woven Prima
cottons, luxurious and irresistible silks and other tactile
surfaces. The Habotai and Pongee silk fabrics are ideal for painting,
while the light
weight Gauze Chiffon lends itself well to Nuno felt making
techniques. Use the Velvet to create devoré and the inkjet
printable fabrics for printing digital images.
There are fabrics sold by the metre and there are ready-made items
such as silk scarves, silk cushion covers and silk ties. The range
is further extended with the experimental ‘fabrics’ such as bark
cloth and wet-strength Tissutex paper, while the silk papermaking technique widens the possibilities for the
fabric crafter still further.
Sundries include devorants for sculpting delicate patterns from
velvet and satin, and Bondaweb, vilene, Supermend
and vanishing film
for the embroiderer and quilter.
